The virus / trojan....
As near as can be determined, the username and password for the site was compromised. I was uploading perfectly clean code onto the main IMW's main website, the virus / trojan was then being uploaded into the clean code for the index.html page. All that is certain is that the code kept returning and the site was being uploaded to from numerous IP addresses, according to the server logs.
